This olive-brown celadon ewer features an octagonal lobed body, a tall curved spout, loop handle, and a domed cover with a bud-shaped finial. The olive glaze is suffused with fine crackles. The unglazed foot reveals the dense buff body, while additional oxidation traces and surface alteration confirm extended age and burial conditions.
The dense stoneware fabric, authentic glaze crackling, oxidation marks, and abrasion around the spout and footrim all support the vessel’s authenticity. Combined with its characteristic lobed form and bud finial, these features place the piece within the Yue or Yaozhou kilns of the Five Dynasties to Northern Song–Jin period (10th–12th century), making it a representative and valuable example of early celadon ware.
