Rare Gilt-Bronze Mythical Beast

Cast in bronze, this sculpture depicts a mythical beast with a sinuously curved body and an animated, rising posture. The overall form evokes a dragon or guardian creature, embodying both vitality and balance within its dynamic stance. The head is angular in shape, with long spiral horns curving upward on each side. The eyes and mouth are rendered with simple yet powerful lines, creating a tense, expressive countenance. The slender neck arches gracefully backward, merging naturally into the body’s flowing contour.
