Bird-Form Spouted Vessel, Neolithic to Shang

Hand-built grey-black earthenware of rounded, footless form, with a cylindrical spout on one side and a modeled bird's head applied opposite. The surface is covered in dense cord-impressed incision, with a notched applied cordon encircling the belly. Reduction firing produced the deep grey-black tone, with scattered orange oxidation patches.
