This porcelain vase, likely from the late Qing dynasty or early Republic period (late 19th to early 20th century), is a fine example of Famille-Rose (fencai) decoration. The body is painted with a vividly colored scene of a golden pheasant perched on a rock, surrounded by blooming peonies and flowering branches. The bird’s feathers are rendered in delicate strokes, highlighting the painter's refined skill. On the sides, butterflies and seasonal blossoms continue the theme of natural harmony. The vase is adorned with applied iron-red beast-head handles with mock rings, enhancing its decorative appeal.
