A gilt brass figure of four-armed Mañjuśrī (四臂文殊師利菩薩), with the upper right hand raised high brandishing the Prajñā sword that cuts through all ignorance and delusion to lead beings toward wisdom, while the left hand holds a lotus stem. From the five-petaled crown and elaborately layered necklaces to the gracefully flowing celestial robes and oval lotus base, the work showcases the refined casting skill of Qing dynasty artisans.
